General Maintenance and Tips.
- Very little maintenance is needed in most cases for these floating pond fountains. You will want to check on the units periodically to make sure the intakes stay clear of algae and wind blow debris like plastic shopping bags or other flotsam that ponds tend to collect.
- Clean your fountain at least once per year. Remove any mineral deposits and biofilm to keep your motor cooling properly.
- Most brands of fountains need to be pulled out in the winter, the exception being Scott Aerator - Which has a winter proof float. If you live where thick ice does not exist, then feel free to run your fountain year-round.
