The Next Generation of the Original De-Icer
For decades, boat owners, marinas and waterfront property owners have trusted the Ice Eater to protect boats, docks and other structures from damaging ice. The second-generation 230V Ice Eater from Airmax keeps the proven performance customers rely on, with a redesigned body that is smaller, smarter and easier to live with.
How It Works
The Ice Eater's propeller draws warmer water up from below and pushes it toward the surface. That steady current of warmer water keeps ice from forming and melts the ice that's already there, protecting hulls, pilings and docks all winter long.
What's New in Generation 2
- Directional-flow glide cage. The large white shroud has been replaced with a compact motor mount that doubles as a glide cage. It guides leaves, sticks and other debris past the unit and away from the propeller, reducing the risk of clogs and damage.
- Compact design. The smaller body is easier to handle, easier to install and takes up far less room in storage during the off-season.
- Same trusted performance. The new design keeps the de-icing power Ice Eater is known for.
Ready to Use Out of the Box
Every Ice Eater ships complete with mooring lines. Take it out of the box, hang it from your boat, dock or pier, plug it in and let it go to work.
