The Airmax Flo-Gen is a horizontal flow generator built to move water through marinas, narrow canals and other areas where debris and stagnant, odorous water collect. It is a single-propeller unit dedicated to horizontal flow, adapted from the Flo-Ration 3-in-1 aeration system.
The strong current it creates adds surface area for oxygen exchange and keeps water layers mixed, so temperatures stay more consistent through the waterway. That helps protect ponds from stagnant water, algae blooms and turnover that can lead to winter and summer fish kills. In winter the current can keep an area of open water from freezing, a popular use for duck hunting spots where the moving water also rocks decoys.
