Airmax: Float Cage for F-Series Aerating Fountains and Surface Aerators | Small | Large

The Airmax Float Cage protects F-Series aerating fountains and surface aerators from floating debris, fish and wildlife. Keeping foreign objects out of the shroud helps prevent broken propellers and damaged motors, so your unit is running when the pond needs aeration most.

The cage is a 1" grid, plastic-coated hot-rolled metal screen that blocks debris while staying wildlife-friendly. It fastens to the unit's square float with the included clips, screws and nuts.

Which size do I need?

• Small: fits the F250 surface aerator (1/4 HP)
• Large: fits the F500, F750DP and F1000DP surface aerators and the F500F and F1000F aerating fountains (1/2 to 1 HP); 29 x 29 x 7 in, 10 lbs

Tools you'll need

• #2 Phillips head screwdriver
• Hog ring pliers
• Wire cutters
• Zip-tie

Instructions for the large float cage

1. Remove the float cage from the box.
2. Unfold the cage and lay it flat on the ground.
3. Stand up the (4) 16" x 24" side flaps. Using hog rings, connect the side flaps together, spacing hog rings about every 4-5". Clamp the hog rings closed with hog ring pliers or similar.
4. With all four side flaps fastened, space the 5/16" black clips along the top edge of the side flaps on the 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd 1" grid, with the rounded edge of each clip facing down.
5. Lay the square black float on top of the float cage.
6. Line up the black clips with the pre-drilled holes in the square black float.
7. Fasten a screw and nut through the square black float and each black clip.
8. Run the power cord from the F-Series unit through the square black float.
9. Cut a section of the float cage to let the power cord pass through.
10. Zip-tie the power cord in place.
