- Replace it every year, or sooner if it is more than 50% depleted or white in color
- Check the anode at least every two to three months; corrosion is most common in salt or brackish water
Disconnect power before any maintenance. Check your unit's shaft size before ordering: 1/2 to 1 HP Kasco units use the 1/2 in. anode (243475 / 243465).
