The Keeton Industries Solaer line of off grid, solar powered subsurface diffuser bubbler style aerators is a perfect option for those who do not have grid power in a remote location or who prefer to have a lighter carbon footprint.
Featuring a battery backup system that ensures up to 20 hours per day of operation, these units are ideal for those who demand pristine water quality conditions in their lake or pond. Long preferred by the aquaculture industry, the Solaer line of aerators is perfect for farm and ranch stock ponds, large acreage owners who do not have grid power within reach or for folks who want to improve water quality in their pond but who prefer to user a green source of power.
A Solaer off-grid solar powered sub surface aerator is perfect if you have a remote cabin with a pond that contains fish. Additional aeration will help your fish grow larger, faster and support more fish in your pond. In addition, it will reduce if not eliminate all water quality issues such as muck, stink, weedy/algae infested water and most other issues as well.
The Solaer SB-1.1+ features a single diffuser that mounts in your pond along with 100 feet of 1/2" self-sinking airline, an air compressor, a cabinet, solar panel(s), a battery backup system and all the electronics for the whole system. The Solaer 1.2+ feature all of the above, but offers a second diffuser. We strongly recommend using the Level-Aer equipment pad found HERE that ensures your cabinet is mounted level for optimum operation.
Do you wish to run your system remotely where the cabinet is not located by the lake or pond, but instead located by or in a small building away from the pond? Then choose one of the "RM" systems! RM stands for Remote Manifold system where you use poly irrigation or similar tubing to run the air from the compressor underground to the edge of the pond where the Remote Manifold system then takes that air and pushes it to each self sinking airline that goes out into your pond to each diffuser.
Sizing a subsurface aeration system like these can be tricky, but don't worry, Midwest Ponds staff is happy to assist you in calculating how large of a system you'll need. If your pond has an average depth of 12 foot or greater, then a 1-2 diffuser system is usually sufficient for a 1 acre pond unless you currently have VERY poor water quality currently, a large amount of waterfowl using the pond or a large amount of fish in the pond. Water depths shallower than 12 feet deep will require more diffusers to achieve a similar result. Call us at (833) 779-2837 for assistance!
Buyer will need to provide the following during installation: A strong back able to lift the components of this system, QTY 1 - 2" Schedule 40 Steel Mounting Pole no less than 8 foot long (purchase at any hardware store) and 1-3 bags of QuikCrete cement and general tools like wrenches, hammer, shovel, etc.
