Planktonic algae cannot reproduce after they have been exposed to concentrated UV light. These weakened/dying single cell organisms simply decompose or are filtered out of your pond water completely by your pond's bio-filter. 

The Bitronic C UV clarifiers hook up directly to the OASE external filters or can be used independently to supplement your Biofalls, pressure filter, or other filtering apparatuses.
