The Scott Aerator Dock Mount deicer is the most rugged and durable de-icer found on the market today. The 5 year warranty speaks for itself! Located on beautiful Lake Michigan in Holland Michigan, Scott Aerator knows how to make lake and pond equipment that is Great Lakes tough! Do you run a marine where you cannot afford damage to the boats in your care? You want a Scott Aerator dock mount deicer!
The Scott Dock Mount Deicer comes with numerous options for you to find the unit that is perfect for your pond. You have mounting hardware options: The Dock Plate Mount is the most popular, but it should only be used on a wooden dock or pier where you are able to drill into the dock surface. If you have a metal dock or pier or simply prefer to not drill into the surface of your dock, the Dock Post Mount or the Dock Truss Mount will work wonderfully for you. You can also add the optional oscillator to automate the rotation of your Scott Aerator Dock De-Icer Bubbler to increase its effectiveness. See picture below for images of your options.
Deicers are sized for your waterfront based on horsepower of the motor unit. The larger the HP, the larger area kept open and free of ice. Local results vary with temperature, wave action, water depth and other variables that are difficult to predict. The Scott sizing chart is:
Scott Aerator Deicer Sizing Chart | |
Horsepower | Diameter in Ft of Ice Cleared (0-10 degrees F) |
1/3HP | 40ft |
1/2HP | 50ft |
3/4HP | 60ft |
1HP | 70ft |
Was just what I needed
Great brackets, ice rink setup is much easier using these!
Bought it for my pond. Constantly frozen temperatures were not allowing my ducks and fish to make it through winter. This provided a large area where the wildlife could still do their thing. Wish I would've purchased this a long time ago, instead of going out and constantly breaking holes in ice. Customer service was also very helpful and answered my questions and call on a Sunday!
We actually went and picked our kit up from the factory where they make it. The owner came and talked to us, and even helped load it in our car. He was very friendly and excited about his product. Got it home, and put it up. The kids have been skating for a couple weeks now. We had to move the liner because our original spot was too heavily sloped, and we ended up tearing a small hole in the liner. I put the tape on it (which came with the kit). It took about 45 seconds, and the patch has held for weeks so far. Great product from a small company in the US!
